It is not underrated in the Spanish speaking world. There are at least 26 books on this ordeal, and plenty of information, documentaries, interviews... with all the actual protagonists of the event and their families. In the last few months, what has been capturing the attention of the people who know this story in depth is the release of the new film 'Society of the Snow', a film in which the author of the book of the same name (who also lost friends and acquaintances in this tragedy), the survivors and the families of the deceased participated as advisers. @s.z3717 That's incorrect. The backlash came from tabloids in the early days of the aftermath. The 16 survivors (and the deceased) are all considered heroes here in Latin America, since it was teamwork at its best what took them out of the mountains. They've lived full lives with wives, children, grandchildren and successful careers. Most of them have found a purpose for their experience, they give conferences all over the world, helping people by sharing their story and saying 'Everyone has a mountain to beat in their life, and if I could beat mine, anyone can beat theirs'.
Dhruv rathee why all this stories not teach in our school days really I dnt understand it's some thing real and motivational ,, I feel very sad I never heard some thing kind of titanic Andes in my child hood .. Thank you so much brother
This incident gave me goosebumps. I shed so many tears at the end. What an inspiration these people are. They teach us the true potential of our will power. I wouldn't want to call this incident a miracle, for that would subdue the efforts each and every person put to stay alive. And the 2 men who trekked for 10 days, they are the real heroes. Without them, this would have been impossible. Truly inspired and moved by hearing about this incident. I also cannot help but acknowledge the privilege I have today, of being alive, not having to think of how will I arrange my next meal. My life's inconveniences are atom sized compared to the spinechilling events these people witnessed. All those people who are still alive, may god fill their lives with alot of happiness. And the ones who are no more with us, Om Shanti 🙏🏻.
What Canessa and Parrado did was the result of the amazing teamwork, the heroic actions and the sacrifice of all of the survivors and many of those who died in the mountains. The final expeditionaries were chosen and then prepared by the whole group. And other expeditionaries were getting ready to start another hike. Several previous expeditions were made by other boys in worse weather conditions, some of them couldn't recover from the tremendous physical and mental effort they made to achieve their missions, and some even died. Let's not forget to mention Antonio 'Tintín' Vizintín, the third expeditionary, who climbed the highest mountain for three days being unaware of the fact that he was carrying the heaviest backpack, and whose toes were destroyed for having kicked the ice to make 'steps'. It was only over 30 years later that he found out he'd been carrying 40 kilos (88 pounds) of 'food' and water. 'Tintín' always says 'We can't say there was only one, two or three heroes. In the Andes, each one of us gave a hundred percent to help the others, we all saved each other's lives.'
Truly a wonderful story. Kudos to those three who went so far ahead to rescue their comrades and kudos to those 14 people too who stayed back in the plane in these conditions
Ufff. With tears in my eyes, I can say, what an inspiring true story.. No one can even imagine what all those survivors went through.. Dhruv thanks a lot for such a motivational content.. Literal goosebumps. We should not take our lives for granted. If we are watching this video then probably we have mobiles and are in a better state than the people who are living on roads and have nothing and still surviving. The story is really inspirational and the journey for those people was literally not at all easy but they still did not lose hope. They were very very strong and brave people. Probably if i would have been at their place then i might have lost hope. Now this story is inspiring me to work hard no matter what the situation is.
This is literally one of the most inspiring stories of will and determination. A Hollywood movie was also made on this story called Alive which came out in 1993. A lot of the clips in Dhruvs video are from the same movie. Everyone should watch the movie. It's so well made it's literally mind-blowing.
Yes. The book of the same name is also very good. I must also mention Nando’s book, Miracle in the Andes(2007). It’s easily the best book I’ve ever read about survival situations and the aftermath. The epilogue alone is worth the price of the book.
It felt like a movie. Truly amazing thank you dhruv rathee sir. You are truly an inspiration for us and also I'm moved by the courage of those people who fought for their precious life

@@afzooiactually they never ate any human meats the documentary tryna mock them but all that matters is they survived such inhumane, impossible situation so this is the time we should never give hope to our dreams 😊

OH MY GOD - Dhruve... I am crying so much. Thank you for sharing this fact story of Andes survival. I have learnt firmly to never give up and keep trying till end.
I was completely captivated by this unbelievable tale of survival in the Andes Mountains. It's a stark reminder of the extraordinary strength of the human spirit. The challenges these individuals faced in such a harsh environment, and their ability to persevere, showcases the indomitable will to live. It's stories like these that remind us of the power of human determination and the importance of never giving up, no matter how dire the circumstances.❤❤❤❤

Now we all realize that our problems are very small then these. 😢 This story has a meaningful moral lesson for us that we should not lose in any way and should be patient and don't panic in any situation.❤
Had chills throughout while watching this video. Hats off to the survivors for making it to the other side. Can't imagine or comprehend what they must have gone through. Hats off to you, Dhruv for narrating this heart-wrenching episode.
The survivors dislike the film 'Alive' because it's not the real story. In 'Alive', the facts were changed to give Ethan Hawke's character the leading role, whereas the other surviving passengers are practically passive spectators who entirely depend on Nando's initiative. In reality, all of them had a crucial role in their struggle for survival, and some even died due to the tremendous physical effort made to help their friends. The main leaders and strategists were the Strauch cousins, but as the survivors say, each one of them was a leader depending on the moment and the skills needed during the 72 days they were trapped in the Andes. THE TRUE STORY IS ABOUT TEAMWORK AT ITS BEST.
"Absolutely fascinating video! I learned so much about the incredible resilience of the survivors of Flight 571. The story of their survival is truly inspiring. Thanks for sharing this incredible tale."
Can't just tell the number of goosebumps I got during these 27 minutes!!! Just insane and love the message at the end ~ When there's a will there's a way !!🖤

This is undoubtedly one of the biggest motivational, miraculous story I’ve ever heard !!! Kudos to Dhruv sir and DRs' whole team !! Highly appreciated ;)

But in reality survivors are badly mocked and trolled for cannibalism, and this amazing inspiring Survival story never gain, the deserved heroism by full belly "civilized" peoples.
@@s.z3717 alright! thanks for informing , Appreciate your words ;)

We must be so thankful to God who has blessed us with so many things in this life..Keep up the good work Dhruv Rathi !

I literally cried listening to their story of hope and will power. God Bless them all
This is literally one of the most inspiring stories of will and determination.

The challenges these individuals faced in such a harsh environment, and their ability to persevere, showcases the indomitable will to live. It's stories like these that remind us of the power of human determination and the importance of never giving up, no matter how dire the circumstances.❤❤❤❤

@@ritiktandi3973"Alive"
Alive (1993)
Society of snow is the right movie
